This podcast is for intermediate to advanced learners of English. Some teachers might find it interesting too. The podcast aims to provide different perspectives on learning English and at the same time develop our listeners' language skills. In this episode, we talk with English language YouTubber: Vicki Hollett. She has taught around the world in places like Algeria, Japan and America. She has also written award-winning coursebooks for Oxford and Pearson, used by millions of students from around the world. She currently runs a YouTube channel - Simple English Videos - with her husband Jay. The channel aims to teach students to speak English fluently. In the interview, we talk about how American English is more challenging than French or Japanese, negative politeness and an idiomatic expression including the Niagara Falls and a bucket!
