Transitional Wisdom Podcast

Miscellaneous

We had the immense privilege of sitting down with the wonderful Sarah Parlow who opened up and shared her journey as a trans women transitioning over the past 24 YEARS. Sarah shares how she lived as a gender nonconforming youth while growing up in an extremely conservative-and homogenous- area of Pennsylvania as well as the experience of medically transitioning in the late 90’s. She speaks brilliantly on the topic of shame both surrounding trans* people, and those who date us- and ways that we can combat these false stigmas. She also discusses disclosure and how to judge when is the right time- it’s tricky and every situation and person is different. The knowledge and insight we can gain from our elders is invaluable, listen to them, learn from them, thank them.   Comments? Questions? Whatever? Tweet us at @Trans_Wisdom.
