Anyone who is familiar with my work knows that bears tend to make fairly regular appearances in my mixed media paintings. What can I say? I like bears. They're fun to paint, perfect for hugs, and my go-to larger animal when stars need to be caught, or a character needs a lift--and until a few months ago, I hadn't given much thought to any deeper reason behind my bear fascination. In this episode, I discuss my thoughts and experiences with bears--including some very real bear encounters! Enjoy!
