A Sunday morning sermon by Peter DuMont.Jesus’ feeding of the 5,000 was a miracle so important every Gospel writer includes it in their account of his ministry. It is a significant moment to consider as we seek to imitate Him. First there is still physical hunger to be met. Looking deeper into hearts, minds, and relationships reveals that on other levels need is all around us. Who are we called to be in response to great need? Is there a group of 5,000 that Jesus is inviting you to feed?As we seek to be a healing presence in the world, let us learn to imitate Jesus’ response to this moment of great need, finding in his example practices and convictions we can follow to carry his presence within our lives, our circumstances. Come Lord Jesus! May Your ways be magnified in our midst.
