An Easter Sunday sermon by Pastor David Singh.In Isaiah 25:8 the prophet sees God’s plan in both the Resurrection and the Second Coming of Jesus: “He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken.”All of creation shares in the victory of Jesus over corruption and death. God puts an end to atrophy, deterioration, disease and yes death itself. This is a very important aspect of God’s plan for both creation and humanity. God does not throw away the old. God is not creating out of nothing like he did at the dawn of creation.Instead, God takes the old and dying creation and makes it new. In Jesus’ resurrection, death has lost its hold. Jesus is the victor and he shares the victory over death with all of creation, not just man and woman. In the past death dominated. Now Christ is the Victor. Live in that victory!
