It's the middle of the month, so you know what that means: time for more "One Piece Club," our ongoing catch-up of "One Piece!" In this episode we discuss the second half of the Alabasta arc (chapters 180-217), where each member of the Straw Hat crew gets their moment to shine before (spoilers) Luffy saves the day by hitting Crocodile very, very hard. We also discuss one of the most pointless death fake-outs in shonen, comic, and just plain literary history. Next month we will read chapters 218-254, which will cover the entire Jaya arc and get us started with the Skypiea arc and the introduction of the lightning god Eneru.
