According to National Geographic, Bangladesh is one the most vulnerable nations to the impacts of climate change. In recent years, riverbank erosion has annually displaced between 50.000 and 200.000 people. A three-foot rise in sea level would submerge almost 20 percent of the country and displace more than 30 million people. On the other hand as of 2016 Bangladesh held the 2nd place in producing garments just after China. Bangladesh is the world's second-largest apparel exporter of western fashion brands.
