On this week's episode of The Matt Donahue Podcast, Matt welcomes on a special guest and former teammate, Cole Swider from the Syracuse University Men's Basketball Team(START-32:00). Matt and Cole discuss Cole's time at Villanova and the similar basketball experience they both encountered entering college basketball. Next, they talk about Cole deciding to transfer to Syracuse this past offseason and what went into the decision, and what to expect from the Orange this upcoming season. Cole also gives insight into the recent news of college athletes being able to be paid off their name image and likeness and what he plans to do moving forward. To close the interview the two discuss their past and some of the experiences they have had playing against each other and in preschool. After the interview with Cole, Matt discusses his thoughts on the NBA Finals and gives his predictions on what will happen with the rest of the series and who will ultimately win in the end(32:00-43:08). Next, he touches upon the recent struggles of team USA and what to expect for the Olympics(43:08-END).
