My thanks to Kevin Bennett, the Queensland and New South Wales – Regional Facilitator of the Best Practice Network for his time and views on this thing called leadership. I asked Kevin to share his views on leadership given his exposure to a range of industry sectors and of course leaders. I posed a question - do we have fit for future leaders? He said leaders need to upskill themselves for industry sectors that may be disrupted for a number of reasons. In some ways I think this incorporates an ability to embrace ambiguity and change. The path of least resistance for leaders is an option that is no longer viable.
