Murder, My Dude returns this week with a case right out of The Big Apple (or, at least, the island right next to it.) Joel Rifkin’s awkward, unhappy childhood led him to a shiftless life that culminated in a brutal serial murder spree lasting about four years. Like the more famous Jack, Joel the Ripper preyed on sex workers, though he preferred the streets of New York City to those of Whitechapel. This week, we explore his story. BUT FIRST! This week in Murder explores a death of a police officer seemingly straight out a Danny Glover movie and a lover’s quarrel gone horribly wrong.
