The conventional self-defense training community would have you believe that the outcome of a violent attack is going to depend on skill. Skill is where the money, glamour, and glory reside. The truth is, skill shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as another lesser known factor. Focusing on skill without mastering this is downright dangerous.
