We see in Psalm 2, God's work in a rebellious world. The rebellious state is seen in the self-absorption of political power, having nothing to do with God. Tyranny does not last, for our time on this earth does not last.-We are called to humility. To the unbeliever, God laughs and scoffs at them. He rebukes them in His anger and terrifies them in wrath. Yes, there are consequences to our sin, but our resting place is under the wings of Christ whom we must serve.
