Get beyond your past  Exodus 2:11-14 One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. 12  Looking this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.  13  The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong, “Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew?” 14  The man said, “Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought, “What I did must have become known.” (NIV) 2. Get beyond your pain 3. Get beyond your problems  Exodus 4:10 Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” (NIV) 4. Get beyond your patterns 5. Get beyond your power Exodus 3:14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you. (NIV) Exodus 4:2–3 Then the LORD asked him, “What is that in your hand?” “A shepherd’s staff,” Moses replied. 3  “Throw it down on the ground,” the LORD told him. So Moses threw down the staff, and it turned into a snake! Moses jumped back. (NLT)
