This is an audiobook of Fairy Prince and Other Stories by Eleanor Hallowell Abbott, narrated by Nan Dodge. Eleanor Hallowell Abbott, granddaughter of children’s author Jacob Abbott, was probably destined to become an author. Not only was her grandfather an author, but her mother, Clara, was an editor of a journal called Literary World. While she struggled a bit in the beginning, her writing was eventually accepted by Harper’s Magazine which ran some of her poetry. This led to further acclaim for her short stories (by her death in 1958, she had written 75 of them) and her novels (of which she wrote 14). Fairy Prince, and Other Stories is one such collection of her shorts. Her papers are held by The University of New Hampshire Library. While she is mostly forgotten toady (as are a great many authors and poets), she was nonetheless a prolific writer.
