Woohoo!!!Dr. Cindy Milligan is the Founder of the Milligan Vocal Arts Institute. She is an educator, entrepreneur and vocal artist. Dr. Milligan is a communication and media consultant for programs in voice, performance, entrepreneurship and leadership.For more than 28 years, Dr. Milligan was a television and radio journalist. Her experience in broadcasting and media opened the door for her to work with a variety of businesses in different industries. She has travelled internationally as a motivational speaker and journalist. In 2013, she founded the Milligan Vocal Arts Institute and expanded her coaching practice to help those who use their voices creatively and professionally. Today Dr. Milligan works with actors, voice over artists, spoken word artists, storytellers helping them explore the creative power in their voices.She appears on broadcast shows and as a guest on podcasts talking about her research, voice in performance, and her work with vocal performers, Her love of education, technology and entrepreneurship allows her to help vocal artists in a way that gives them a strong, confident foundation for performing and communicating successfully and profitably.Dr. Cindy earned a PhD in Communication from Georgia State University specializing in voice and film. She created a theory called Sonic Vocality, which explains how actors use their voices to create characters. She has presented her published research on the voice in performance at conferences internationally.
