The first time I met Curtis in person I watched him power snatch 150 kilos on straight legs, with no hookgrip... simply because he didn't know any better. I've watched him rise to the top of the stacked US shot put scene, most recently taking 3rd at Nationals and crossing the elusive 70 foot barrier in the shot.
