* Attention all Texas voters abroad! * On March 3, 2020, the Lone Star State will hold its Democratic primary. Among the several candidates battling it out to be the Democratic nominee is Adrian Ocegueda (https://www.texasreason.com/), a Princeton-educated finance expert and the son of an Air Force father who's looking to unseat the incumbent Republican senator. Mark your calendars!  Adrian spoke to us on the topics of how the perspectives of how various stakeholders play a role in the overall immigration debate need to be considered; an exploration of the idea for the minority party to have legislative agenda rights in the Senate to address partisan gridlock; and the need to keep the American people well-informed to better advance the conversation on issues important to the citizenry. Have a listen to our interview with Adrian to hear more of his thoughts on the issues. And although we're still months out from this important race, we encourage all Texans living abroad to become educated on the several candidates and to make sure they request their absentee ballots in a timely manner (https://www.votefromabroad.org/).    "People do want change... You want to have a candidate who both speaks to progressive principles but also is able to address some of those concerns with the more progressive policies and why some of those things need to at least be tried and rolled out." -- Adrian Ocegueda, candidate for U.S. Senate from Texas.  *Note: As the Democrats Abroad Hispanic Caucus is part of the Democratic Party, it does not formally endorse a candidate before a Democratic primary has occurred when there is more than one Democratic candidate running for the same seat. As such, we have invited all Democratic candidates running for this U.S. Senate seat to speak with us on our podcast to inform Texas' absentee voters about themselves and their campaigns. Not all candidates have responded to the invitation. We are grateful to hear directly from Mr. Ocegueda and the other Democratic candidates who have accepted our invitation.  Hispanic Caucus participants in this episode: Amerika García-Grewal (Fiji), Sam Stone (Mexico), and Michael Ramos (Australia). Postcast music provided by Carlos Colao (Spain).
