Can the church be inspired by a text about a hero (Moses) killing another man? Maybe with some help with context. Our reading from Exodus c.2 is mired with human sin and violence, as is much of life. Moses cannot avoid it, and neither can God's church. Sin and violence are taking the lives of God's people and we are called by God to be a light, a refuge, sign of mercy and justice.
