What God is doing in the world today is building His Church while He carries out much of His work in the world through the Church. -The Church with its unity and diversity is called to walk in step with His Spirit who is at work through His Word. The follower of Christ while walking in step will be being conformed to the likens of Christ while becoming increasingly different and distinct from the world. To enable a worthy, God-pleasing walk and to be building and growing His church the Spirit of God has been provided. Through the Spirit the believer is gifted with the measure of ability, resources, time, and opportunity to faithfully carry out God's work in the world. Individual believers have personal responsibility for their walk as well as responsibility in the local body of Christ they serve and work through and as each one is faithful the body is built up as the other members are edified. Such is the beauty, plan, and program God is accomplishing in the world today as He is unhindered by the times and circumstances of the day.
