Are the Republicans and Democrats dramatically different or shockingly similar? We discuss a long list of issues where the two parties only show only modest differences of degree, but not in kind. We cover foreign policy, monetary policy, budget, taxes, trade policy, election policy, personal behavior laws, privacy issues, corporate policies and much more and discover the two parties are remarkably similar. I share my own political journey growing up in a Democratic environment, socializing with Republicans in college, having misgivings with both and later discovering libertarianism. We also mourn the loss of Eddie Van Halen.
