"I was born and raised in occupied Tongva territory aka the City of Los Angeles" is Heidi Kang's response when asked where she hails from? A member and organizer of the grassroots activist organization, Revolution LA, Heidi has been involved with various political and social justice movements such as Occupy, NoDAPL, Divest and more. An advocate for environmental, human, and animal rights and liberation, Heidi seeks to bridge the physical and unseen worlds together to amplify her service and causes she supports through her spiritual practice on the Red Road. On this episode of Nomadland podcast, Heidi discusses her involvement with Revolution LA, Urban Partners LA, Divest LA, and subsequent Public Bank LA campaigns, which led to the Public Banking Act #AB857 being passed in the State of California- a revolutionary and historic step towards economic liberty for the people and the planet.
