  This episode is all about how light from phones, screens and even indicator lights is seriously screwing with melatonin and ruining your sleep       Blue wavelengths activate special receptors in the retina, telling your brain what time it is. Specifically, blue says it's midday and you should be staying awake. LED lights in screens, phones and even little indicator lights have huge amounts of blue because it makes the light look white.
