Today I interviewed Melissa Aikens, on the topic of emotional/verbal abuse. So many of us have experienced some form of hurt in our lives and Melissa, wanted to open up about her story not only to offer healing to herself - but to offer emotional support and healing to others. Melissa wanted to make it clear that emotional/verbal abuse, is just as BAD as physical abuse if not worse. Stories is what connects us as a people; when we can talk to one another and understand one another, it creates a stronger community - a bond. Personally, I've tried so hard to understand the things that's happened in my own life which brought me down this podcast journey.
