Welcome to another Halloween Spooktacular from I'll Show You Mine! This spooky season we're watching "The Quiet Family" from 1998, the first feature film directed by Kim Jee-woon. This Korean black comedy follows the Kang family, who buys a mountain lodge and has to take desperate measures when their guests all start dying... Join us as we talk about director Kim Jee-woon and his trajectory from dark humor to blockbuster action and thrillers, James takes a hard line against Meet the Parents, and we hammer into memory a name that any movie fan should definitely familiarize themselves with: Song Kang-ho. Just a warning, this movie deals with some sensitive topics like suicide and sexual assault, not treated like punchlines but they are discussed frankly in this episode.
