Our podcast is sponsored by our fantastic footwear partners at Mizuno. We are so honored to be part of the Mizuno family and happy to be able to share that connection with you today as we talk with Renee Metivier Baillie, an elite Mizuno athlete. Renee was an All-American at the University of Colorado and, among her many accomplishments, was an NCAA Champion in the 3000 meters, twice runner-up in the NCAA Cross Country Championships, USATF 3000 meter indoor champ and in September of this year kicked in a 20K US Road Championship along with her most recent and amazing 8th place finish at the Chicago Marathon on October 7th with a time of 2:27:17, the top American and 5th fastest debut in US history. We'll talk about her marathon debut, her training--mentally and physically--tips on coming back from injury and explore the common ground between elite runner and everyday runner. We'll also learn more about that incredible tattoo and, if we're lucky, what her secret weapon in life is!
