If we want to experience the “life to the full” that Jesus came to offer, we must go with him into the unknown. Into the frontier. God’s desire is for us to experience His goodness. A life of blessing and favor. In order to experience that life, God invites us into a journey with him. A journey to leave what is familiar (the ways in which we try to control life outside of him) and go into the unknown with him. The Bible presents many examples of this journey. Abram, Jacob, Jesus’ disciples, Paul. They all experience a journey of awakening, restoration, and initiation. During the journey, they all develop an intimate relationship with God, discover the treasures of his heart for them and are initiated to become the men God had created them to be. Jesus is calling us out today in the same way. Extending the same invitation. It is up to every one of us to answer: Yes, Lord, you have my Yes.
