I am the Every Girl

Society & Culture

Hey! To celebrate the start of my first podcast ever, I'm sharing with you a self-written poem for Women's Day "In the midst of your family guessing, You came out as a blessing... While most of your relatives wanted you to be a He, You were made, with the grace of almighty. a proud she. Accepted as a little princess, Your room was poured with the color pink, sadly beyond these stereotypical things, your parents couldn't think... Playing with dolls, listening to the stories of stars, Little did anyone know? that you also liked smashing those cars. The social norms taught you to be sensitive soft and fragile, But thankfully, social media made you bold, strong, and agile... Be polite, sit with grace, you were asked to fit in the frame, But the global women leaders out there showed you how to ace the game. From ignoring that creepy unwanted chase, to fighting with that annoying male gaze. Every day has been a war, but you my darling, are still shining bright like a star. Getting over your insecurities and doubts took you so many years, Finally, realized that your confidence is much greater than your fears. People kept mocking you saying - women can't drive, Still, besides all this, your spirit continues to strive. You were subconsciously forced to follow that stupid, standard beauty trend, look fair and Flawless or the world's going to end. Today, laughing at all this fuss, you realized that beauty exists in all of us. The story of your success is still halfway, lifting up your hopes today, here's me wishing all of you a very Happy Women's Day" I'll be back with another episode next Friday.
