This week's SurgicalSpirit podcast is with the lovely Dr. Yasir Hameed, who is Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Consultant in Adults and Older Adults Psychiatry, in the University of East Anglia, UK.Dr. Yasir has an interest in cultural aspects of psychiatry and the management of mental health problems in refugees and people exposed to trauma during conflict and war.He went through a remarkable experience himself, having lived through the UN-imposed embargo in Iraq in the 1990s, and the relatively recent US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, while working in Iraq as a Junior Doctor.
