Aravind Bhargav - Mandolin Vedanth Bharadwaj - Voice and Banjo Aravind Bhargav is a very talented and much sought after Mandolin player from Chennai. He learnt under the tutelege of Mandolin Sri U.Shrinivas and is taking the tradition of the Mandolin in Carnatic music forward. Vedanth Bharadwaj, an independent musician, is a singer-guitarist-composer from Chennai and specialises in singing songs of the mystic saint poets while accompanying himself on the guitar and banjo. He has learnt classical music under several Gurus and currently under the tutelege of Sri Ramamoorthy Rao. This was recorded at Vedanth's studio Sa.Ma in Chennai and video edited by Aravind. https://www.facebook.com/aravind.bhargav https://www.facebook.com/VedanthBharadwaj/ The similarity between the two songs really caught our attention and inspired us to record this. "I am in you, why look elsewhere?", say both Kabir and Thyagaraja in their own ways through these compositions. Do listen. We welcome feedback from listeners. The compostions - Maarubalka (Thyagaraja, Raag Sriranjani, Adi Thaalam) mArubalka kunna vEmirA mA manOramaNa jAracOra bhajana jEsitinA sAkEta sadana dUra bhAramandu nA hrdayAravinda mandu nelakonna dAri nerigi santasilli naTTi tyAgarAjanuta Meaning - Why do you remain without responding [to me]? O Delighter of Lakshmi's mind! Did I extol adulterers and thieves? O Dweller of Ayodhya! O Lord praised by this Thyagaraja who is exulting having understood the method in which You are abiding (at once) everywhere – in far away places as also in the lotus of my heart! (OR) O Lord abiding (at once) everywhere – in far away places as also in the lotus of my heart - praised by this Thyagaraja who is exulting having understood the right path! And Moko Kahaan (Kabir) set to tune by Vedanth Bharadwaj Moko Kahaan Dhundhere Bande Mein To Tere Paas Mein Na Teerath Mein, Na Moorat Mein Na Ekaant Niwaas Mein Na Mandir Mein, Na Masjid Mein Na Kaabe Kailaas Mein Na Mein Jap Mein, Na Mein Tap Mein Na Mein Barat Upaas Mein Na Mein Kiriya Karm Mein Rehtaa Nahin Jog Sanyaas Mein Nahin Praan Mein Nahin Pind Mein Na Brahmaand Akaas Mein Na Mein Prakuti Prawaar Gufaa Mein Nahin Swaason Ki Swaas Mein Khoji Hoye Turat Mil Jaaoon Ik Pal Ki Talaas Mein Kahat Kabir Suno Bhaai Saadho Mein To Hun Viswaas Mein Meaning - Where do you search me?
