Pope Francis has done the unthinkable: he's opened the door for the Catholic Church to accept civil unions between same sex couples. Now, the Pope did not endorse same sex marriage, but in a forthcoming documentary about his life, he not only said the church should accept civil union laws for gay couples, he said that homosexuals have a place in the church.
