Pope Francis has done the unthinkable: he's opened the door for the Catholic Church to accept civil unions between same sex couples. Now, the Pope did not endorse same sex marriage, but in a forthcoming documentary about his life, he not only said the church should accept civil union laws for gay couples, he said that homosexuals have a place in the church. We will go In Depth on this huge departure on traditional Catholic beliefs. Just as rates of coronavirus infections are on the rise in young children across the country, we learn that developers of COVID vaccines are preparing to start trials in children and adolescents. It's a delicate process, but an effective COVID vaccine in kids could mean confidently reopening schools everywhere. And we'll check in on the presidential campaign trail, less than two weeks before election day, as President Obama gets back in the game.........and the Trump campaign appears to have blown through a WHOLE LOT of money. Jackie Lacey is the first female and first African American district attorney of Los Angeles County.........so it's definitely unusual that Lacey finds herself fighting to keep her job and it's L.A.'s black voters who appear to be most critical of her performance. Jackie Lacey comes on In Depth to defend her more incremental approach to reforming the D.A.'s office, the answer the criticisms that she's too tight with the LAPD and to discuss the now infamous incident of her husband pulling a gun on Black Lives Matters protesters.
