En esta segunda de dos conferencias sobre el rito de entrada del Oficio de las vísperas, Padre Joan examina el himno Φώς ιλαρόν (fos hilarion) que en griego significa ·”Dichosa Luz.” Se trata de una confesión que desgrana calificativos a la gloria del Padre en términos de Santidad, denominando también Santo al bienaventurado Jesucristo. Afirmando además la dignidad del Cristo de ser celebrado por las voces santas a través del Espíritu Santo y adorándolos juntamente con el Padre, dicho himno, Padre Joan explica, constituye nuestra incorporación a la nueva creación que glorifica a la Trinidad. In this second of two podcasts focusing on the entrance rite of the vespers service, Father Joan examines the hymn “Oh Joyful Light” (or Φώς ιλαρόν) which punctuates the glory of the Father as holiness, and Jesus Christ as Deified-Saint. Confessing thusly the meetness of praising Christ through the Holy Spirit by means of godly hymnody and blessing Them Both Who are magnified in the Father, Father Joan explains how this hymn speaks of our partaking of this new creation which glorifies the Three as One.
