Miscellaneous

We debated putting any episode at all out this week—not because we didn't think it would be helpful to people, but mostly because we are dealing with our own challenges. We like to put out inspiring content. It is also really frustrating going from a polished studio product to a Zoom video conference in the face of a pandemic. But, when you think about the core messages in the first 15 episodes (before full-on social distancing), many of them center around looking at challenges as opportunities. With everything going on with our business and our personal lives (both of us have multiple young children, wives with their own careers, have recently lost access to outside childcare because of social distancing measures, and still have to run our law firm), and the pain and suffering around the world, our inability to put out episodes of LawFlip the way we would like has to just be okay for now!  And with all that being said, we thought the most important thing we could do is to informally put out what we thought was some good employment (to both employees and employers) and life advice in the age of COVID-19 .  In this week's episode, Benjy interviews Louis over a Zoom video conference. We discuss a wide array of employment law and employee rights basics in the wake of COVID-19 social distancing. We talk about the current state of the court system, mediations (informal settlement conferences), and legal affairs generally in these turbulent times. It’s informal but informative! We also give our Deals and Legal Tips of the Week and more!  Best wishes to everyone and be safe out there! Support the show (http://lawflip.com)
