Changing my Instagram name from @SadeDizzle to @iAmSadeGraham was more than just a change as far as my social media channels were concerned; I found that my perspective and view on many things organically changed with it. My approach on content and life, in general, became altered; and it was around that time that I truly realized my new role in life.Letting go of who you are to become who are called to be is not easy. And with that calling, you can't be scared nor slow about it, you just have to do it.2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self control (Holy Bible). When on the path of elevation, as tough as it may be, we must reconcile with it. If it means ridding yourself of a certain set of friends, practices, even a job/career that you absolutely love, you might have to make that hard decision to part with it.Most times that ultimate position will require you to wear an outfit you have never worn before.Even President Obama had to avoid lighting up his spliff during his campaign to the White House; he too had to button up if he was going to lead the free world with a particular grace.And after periods of time and frequent mistakes, hopefully some of those whom you use to look to as just reckless entertainers start to become more the wise.
