A song can have many levels... and Doug Hopkins wrote on all them. WARNING: this episode contains trigger warnings for addiction and suicide. At first, the songs of the Gin Blossoms were catchy and spirited. The lyrics, however, told the story of someone's pain. That pain was the life of Doug Hopkins with it's complexity, artistry and tragic end.
