New short story: "The White Man's Hell" (a white man finds himself in a Fox News-fever dream and RuPaul's Drag Race-inspired nightmare world that treats him like his ancestors treated other marginalized folks: very badly. He can't vote. He can't hold a decent job. All he can do is take abuse, do what he's told, and be little more than arm candy)  This story was conceptualized while I was watching the news, and it turned over to 700 Club. And they were ranting about what the world will be like when the Democrats win. And guess what? They did (at least, the presidency, anyhow). But they're not going to implement THESE kinds of changes. They're not psychotic dystopian monsters. But I definitely can channel that spirit. And I did, into this weird sci-fi speculative tale.  Poems: Dreaming & Screaming  At the Starting Line of a New Race  Gnawing  Undeterred  We Must Survive the Slings and Arrows  I am the Virus Thanks for listening, Manzoniacs, Manzonistans and well wishers! #ManzoniLovesYou --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/manzoni-in-the-morning/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/manzoni-in-the-morning/support
