Marie Ketring is a photo-video artist and documentary film maker in Austin. She grew up on the Paguate Navajo reservation in New Mexico until she was eight. She moved to North Dakota to live with her grandparents after her parent's marriage fell apart. She traveled back to New Mexico in 2015 with her father - to make a documentary. She will be traveling to Uganda to teach film-making. She has worked on the documentary film "Time for Illhan" about the Somali senator who ran in Minnesota.
