It’s the middle of March Madness and what better guest to have on the show than someone who has experienced the tournament both as a player and a coach? Matt Doherty is in the house today and it’s an honor to have him! In this episode we discuss his experiences as a player, a coach, and also his book Rebound: From Pain to Passion. Doherty was a key member of those UNC teams that included winning the 1982 National Championship on a team featuring Sam Perkins, James Worthy, Michael Jordan, and legendary coach Dean Smith. He was then drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 6th round of the 1984 NBA Draft. He later continued his basketball journey as a coach that included stops with Notre Dame, FAU, SMU, and his Alma Mater North Carolina Tar Heels. This episode is a special one, especially for all of you current or aspiring coaches out there.
