The final verses of Matthew 13 clearly delineate the two responses to Jesus' teaching about the kingdom; obedience by the disciples and rejection by the people. After presenting the several parables about the kingdom of heaven in Matthew 13, Jesus asks The Question, then gives The Commission to His disciples. Finally the Bible gives The Caution in detailing the rejection by the people of Jesus' hometown of Nazareth.
