Welcome to episode 02 of the Wild Magic Art Podcast.  This episode will be about the midyear planner slump.  This time of year, I find that I am hitting a wall with my planning and my engagement with my planner system. This year I hit a wall with my planner.  I realized the issue was my general engagement with my life and how I was dealing with stresses from work and school.  It is sometimes hard to plan when you overwhelmed dealing with your responsibilities. I realized to be engaged with my planner; I had to get reengaged with my life and the stationary I already had.  I would be more motivated to plan if I was also planning for things that I was looking forward to and or was excited about.  I call these mico passions.  Small things you can plan for during your week that engage your passions and interests.  It could be as small as writing in your journal, taking pictures of your favourite washi for Instagram and or reading a book.  The key is doing something that is about you, engages your interests and making it small enough to be done in a small period of time. This a playtime for yourself and is an important component of self-care.   Another component of dealing with the midyear planner slump is being able to let go of the planner system you have if it is no longer worker.  It may have worked earlier in the year but all your life and priorities change; you have to be able to adapt your system.  Looking at why you plan and what are your goals in planning also helps in your motivation.  Planning helps manage my stress levels and aids me allocating my time.  Planning aids me making time for the things I want to do and helps me keep that of the things I am passionate about.
