Guest: Patrick Gallus, D.O., Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Gallus Medical Detox Center PTSD Awareness day is June 27th.  Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can start with a very traumatic event, 60% of men and 50% for women are from accidents or war.  Those numbers are very similar to subsistence use.  PTSD is direct exposure to trauma and there are 17 different criteria define PTSD.  This could be things such as nightmares, flashbacks, isolation from other people and in a lot of cases leads to substance abuse.  There is no timeline as to when a person might experience PTSD.  Women have a higher rate of PTDS then men.  This could be because people are afraid to get help because of the stigma of mental health.     https://www.gallusdetox.com/
