This is just a quick podcast on safe fall and winter wading practices to not disturb wild trout redds. Redds are easy to spot in the fall, but can become very camouflaged as fall rains can bring silt, and other debris that can hide the redd. I feel that often times minding redds and fishing over spawning wild trout are often ignored just to get a picture of a wild trout in spawning colors.  We really need to understand of the consequences of these actions, and make an effort to educate others on safe practices of fishing for trout during and after their spawn. A great webpage to check out is www.mindtheredd.org. I briefly mention them in the podcast but their whole agenda is to help educate others on the importance of understanding redds and spawning wild trout. They do a great job at doing this. If you are new to the idea of redds and spawning wild trout please check out the Mind The Redd website and learn.
