You may have heard me talk about why I struggled to be the face of my brand for 10 years. At the time, I didn't know why, but the whole George Floyd incident has really helped me to make sense of what has been a deep rooted oppression that has caused me not to value myself as a human, let alone have respect for myself as a business owner! In this short series I'm going to share my journey to help raise awareness of the struggle to hopefully help other bakers who may also feel the same as well as educate my non-black counterparts so that we can move towards a changed community.
