In this podcast, I have explained the Tourism & Hospitality sector and how breakdown in one sector can break the whole Supply Chain system. Due to Coronavirus & long-lockdown almost all sectors are facing problems, but this is one of the worst affected sectors due to lockdown. According to The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), tourism generated $240 bn or 9.2% of India's GDP in 2018 and supported 42.67 mn jobs which is 8.1% of its total employment. So, this sector generates huge jobs and this sector is totally run by private investors. As of now (10 May, 2020) confirmed cases in India is 63,450 and we have no idea when this will be normal for us, so this lockdown is directly affecting this sector. Right now, we have to recover this sector, otherwise we will face huge job & supply losses, this loss also breaks the demand & supply curve. So this industry needs direct help from the Govt. to recover & restart the business.
