Nicole Leier is an award-winning actor, producer, director and activist. At the age of 13, she made the decision to leave a difficult home environment and set her sights on pursuing her acting dreams. Her grit and determination have landed her numerous roles, including one alongside Nicolas Cage in A Score To Settle for which she has just been nominated for a Leo Award. The role was originally written for a man, but she went in and asked for it. She also has her own production company, Black Tree Pictures, where she is able to produce projects she is passionate about. Nicole talks about the challenges she has faced being both a female and a woman of color in the industry.
