Dr. Alison Carver, a Deakin research fellow who through the Deakin Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research, funded by VicHealth, studied 430 primary and 258 secondary students, along with their parents, the research finds that: - Parents prefer to drive their children around rather than letting them walk or ride around. - Safety concerns were one of the main reasons for this.
