Weird but Wonderful

Comedy

What happens when someone eats more than their fair share of the party food? How do you handle that situation? Or what if someone hits the jackpot on the novelty slot machine in your living room? Do they get to keep the cash? On this advice episode of Weird But Wonderful, my friend David joins me in lending a helping hand to people whose parties have wound down after things got a little too real and heated. ----- Antique slot machine jackpot Our first advice seeker has a 1940s style slot machine in his living room as a fun novelty for friends and family to play when they're over. People have played it over the years and won a few quarters here and there with the max being around $50 at a time. However, last night, a friend's friend hit the jackpot - $700. The owner of the slot machine refused to let him keep the money. The winner's case was he'd been playing with his own real money and the owner would've kept his quarters. The owner said he'd give him his quarters back, but he's not a casino and couldn't afford to give him the $700. Things kind of spiralled from there. - I ate more than "my share" of a 6-foot party sub last night Our second advice seeker was invited to a friend's UFC party where they had ordered a 6-foot party sub. He at a serving of the sandwich but was still very hungry. He waited an hour and a half to see if people were still interested in the sandwich. After which time, he took half of the remaining 3-foot sub and tucked in. He gave it another 10-15mins and then polished off the final 1.5 feet of sub. Right as he is swallowing the last bite... the host's girlfriend asks where the sandwich was. Everyone points to the advice seeker. She furiously calls him an incredible pig and says he has been selfish. Our advice seeker offers to order pizza, but she said that was a pathetic offer. The night ends up winding down after a tense situation. He wakes up the next morning to several texts from the partygoers who are very mad. - Patreon Exclusive Question: Taking my girlfriend's lasagna Support the show on Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/mypixelpersona Our patron-exclusive question this week comes from a guy whose girlfriend cooked them a delicious homemade lasagna for Sunday's date night. He asks if he can take the lasagna home for his family to try and she agrees. On Monday his girlfriend texts to ask where the lasagna was. After telling her he took it, she said I thought you were going to take SOME not the whole thing. She spent her week's food budget on the lasagna and had intended on eating it as leftovers for the rest of the week. He felt bad but didn't feel the need to rectify the situation. Nor did he think it was his responsibility to buy her a sandwich when she asked if he could. So our delightful dickhead here took to the Internet to see if he was, in fact, an asshole. ----- Thanks as always for listening and don't forget to share the show with a friend!
