PensBurgh: for Pittsburgh Penguins fans

Miscellaneous

Over the last week, the Pittsburgh Penguins have won two out of their last three games, yet sit in fifth place (and out of a playoff spot) in the East Division. While there have been encouraging signs of life from the team, something, or things, still feel off. With the team’s most recent and arguably most complete game of the season in the books, the PensBurgh Podcast is back this week to figure out if this stretch of games will be marked as a turning point in the Penguins’ up-an-down season or looked back as some sort of anomaly. The biggest topic of discussion on this week’s podcast will center around the roster, and whether or not the switching around of a few players on different lines will do anything to jumpstart a few players’ offensive production. In addition to the game recaps and general discussion, the mailbag is filled with a few questions that will be sure to spark debate. What rule or rules should be added or subtracted from the NHL’s rulebook? Can a healthy Jared McCann play a pivotal role on the fourth line when he returns? And what is there to make of these Sidney Crosby trade rumors? Is the future Hall of Famer on his way out the door for pastures anew? These questions and more are addressed in this week’s edition of the PensBurgh Podcast. Don’t forget to support us by rating and subscribing to the podcast on iTunes, Spotify, and Google Play.
