When I started at my job, I was pretty bad, not very helpful, overtime I became a superstar, people started coming to me for advice and to review their work. It feels good, but I had to dedicate myself for that change to be there. It wasn't that I wasn't working hard, I was, it was that I hadn't made that deep personal commitment to myself to be good at what I was doing. What would it mean if more of us did that? What about if I did that in another area of my life? Why wouldn't I get the same results? On another note, I think people go on the internet looking for personalities because they are passionate about what they talk about. I think people go there because they like to see that emotion, or any emotion for that matter. Poeple would flock to the internet just to see someone who is angry. I think it is about emotion, but people stay because they like the people, even if they don't care about the topic. When I used to stream on Twitch. People would ask just to watch me eat cereal. They didn't care about the cereal, I think its that they wanted to get to know me outside of streaming because, even though we never met in person, they wanted to know more about who I was, just like any other relationship that we might have.I think this presents a good opportunity for more people to do stuff online, even if its just audio like this. In fact, maybe this is the best way to start. People like hearing from other people and what they really think about things, how they really FEEL about things.I think there is a real power in putting your message out into the world even if you only have 20 people listening, or even if no one is listening. Speaking something aloud is power. It does effect the world around you, I think. Imagine the power of someone who is putting their message out there even if no one is there to hear it. I think that is pretty dope. Because the power is all you. You aren't swayed by your audience, it is your truth, even if what you say or feel isn't objective truth, its your real response, your real feeling, without filter. That's cool.
