Policy and Decision Models

Education

EPA2142. Master Engineering and Policy Analysis. The course is a survey of models for analyzing and supporting design and decision-making in multi-actor settings. The simplest game models are 2x2 matrices. One player's strategies (options, choices) form the rows, the other player's strategies are the columns, and the cells display the payoffs resulting from the interplay of the strategies. These elements together constitute a "game". The matrix representation is often called "normal form" or "strategic form". This module includes several ways of analyzing or "solving" a game: dominance, saddle points, mixed strategies, and linear programming.
