This week, we consider psalms and laments through the lens of resurrection. When Job, David, or other poets cry out to the Lord from a place of despair, God demonstrates care and power to redeem His people. These poems also represent God's care for the suffering of individuals, peoples, and even all creation. We have spoken before about lament as part of a healthy emotional spectrum; when resurrection is in the picture, we can understand lament as a plea for life out of death.
